Biography and research interests
Studying a Master’s degree in Environmental Management and Coastal Ecology at La Rochelle University in France, I’m currently doing my Master’s thesis here at the IIM. The topic of my work is to assess the health status of dolphins from the Iberian Atlantic Coast. It consists in analyzing as much information as possible from necropsy dolphin stranding reports, especially concerning the common and the striped dolphins.
Particularly interested by cetaceans, I did a summer internship in the Azores in photo-identification of dolphins and sperm whales last year and my objective is to contribute to cetacean research and conservation in the future.
